Nice to meet you!

As you might have guessed, my name is Zoe and I am an illustrator! I’m originally from rural Devon, but now live in Somerset where my love of food, nature, and animals are at the forefront of my work. My creative journey was somewhat unusual as I initially studied English Literature and Publishing. However, I always loved drawing and was constantly drawn to creative projects on my course.

I began to experiment with illustration, and a few years later met a representative from Troika Books at the Bath Children's Literature Festival, who gave me my first commission illustrating a collection of children’s poetry! This encouraged me to pursue a Masters in Graphic Arts at UWE, Bristol where I collaborated with The Watershed and UWE Sustainability Committee.

My style is a combination of traditional drawing and digital techniques and I use Procreate for the majority of my work. My aim is to spark joy and I thrive on the challenges of bringing quirky characters to life and creating sophisticated images characterised by line, tone and charm.

When I’m not drawing, I am often reading, baking, or out for a walk in my beloved countryside. I hope you enjoy this selection of my work and if you would like to get in touch or ask any questions, please use the contacts link to send me an email.

I can’t wait to hear from you!
